AYSF Accreditations

Would you like to become a Yoga Sports coach or judge?

AYSF offers Yoga Sports Judging accreditations. If you would like to be certified please contact us or register for one of our upcoming judging events. Alternatively, if you already have judging experience and need to be accredited at a certain level or need to revalidate please contact us.

Yoga Sports Coaching Accreditations

Level 1

Basic Overview

Learn the skills and knowledge to be able to teach a 90 min Yoga Sports class as well as develop posture sequences to help your students get the most out of each class.

Understand the basics of coaching competition routines.

Level 1 coaching details...

  • 6-day (50hr Training)
    • Learn Yoga Sports drills
    • How to coach Yoga Sports classes
    • Posture corrections
  • Continuing Education
    • Coaching Classes (Virtual or Physical)
      • 25 Classes - Assistant Coach
      • 25 Classes - Primary Coach
    • Further training to be a yoga sports coach
      • Coaching and correcting beginner competition routines
      • Routine development/Major deductions
      • Provide posture corrections for routine

Level 2

Basic Overview

Increases the fundamental knowledge of more advanced postures for both Yoga Sports competitions and classes.

Certified Level 1 Judge.

Level 2 coaching details...

  • 3-day (25hr Training)
  • Additional approved 25hr AYSF training
  • Teaching virtual classes
  • Continuing Education
    • Coaching and correcting beginner/intermediate competition routines
    • Become an AYSF certified Level 3 National Judge
    • Become an AYSF certified Level 1 International Judge
    • Judged at AYSF approved events in the same year as attempting certification

Level 3

Basic Overview

Have the knowledge to conduct multi-day workshops and posture development programs. Additionally, learn how to safely perform hands-on corrections.

Be able to lead and certify Australasian Yoga Sports Federation accredited Level 1 Coaching Courses.

  • 3-day (25hr Training)
  • Host a 3 Day Yoga Sports Workshop
  • Teaching virtual classes
  • Continuing Education
    • Coaching and correcting intermediate competition routines
    • Become an AYSF certified Level 4 National Judge
    • Become an AYSF certified Level 2 International Judge
    • Judged at AYSF approved events in the same year as attempting certification

Level 4

Basic Overview

Have the depth of knowledge required to coach athletes one on one at national and international competitions.

Be able to lead and certify Australasian Yoga Sports Federation accredited Level 2 Coaching Courses.

Certified Level 2 Judge.

  • 3-day (25hr Training)
  • Host a 6 Day Yoga Sports Workshop
  • Teaching virtual classes
  • Continuing Education
    • Coaching and correcting intermediate/advanced competition routines
    • Judged at AYSF approved events in the same year as attempting certification

Level 5

Basic Overview

Have the depth of knowledge required to coach athletes one on one at national and international competitions.

Be able to lead and certify Australasian Yoga Sports Federation accredited Level 3 Coaching Courses.

Certified Level 1 International Judge.

Level 6

Basic Overview

Be able to lead and certify Australasian Yoga Sports Federation accredited Level 4 Coaching Courses.

Certified Level 2 International Judge.

Head Coach

Be able to lead and certify all levels of Australasian Yoga Sports Federation accredited Coaching Courses.

All judges must attend at least one competition a year (virtual/in-person) or attend an online refresher/video judging seminar to retain their accredition.
